Jonas Ott wins at HAFF

WashedAshore1

Jonas Ott, a current student of the Master programme, just won the Prix European for student films at the Holland Animation Film Festival with his graduation film “Washed Ashore”. From the jury report: We were impressed by the film’s depth and surprising turns, its intensity, and its vaudeville perversity.

Congrats Jonas!

Also congratulations to Hisko Hulsing who recently held a workshop storyboarding at the Master: he received the Grand Prix Dutch Animation for his film “Junkyard”.

Marathon de l’anim, Lille 2013

Just like last year La Fête de l’anim in Tourcoing (13-17 March) organized an animation marathon. Twenty teams coming from 17 European animation schools, participated in this unique challenge, consisting of creating 10 seconds of animation in 48 hours, based on an image designed by the Belgian animation director, Raoul Servais. Ruud Bakker, Jonas Ott and Evert van der Veen represented the Professional Master of Animation of AKV|St.Joost at the marathon this year.
The project is co-financed by the European Union (Interreg IVA 2 Seas), as part of the VIVID project.
